The costs for a ride with an airport taxi depend on the starting rate. And on the distance and duration of the ride. For taxis on the pick-up market, a maximum rate applies for all these components. This rate prevents you as a customer from having to pay too much.

Calculation example of the costs of a taxi ride

Suppose you make a journey of 1 hour (incl. 20km)* in a Premium economy car (max 4 persons), that takes 30 min. If the taxi company were to apply the taxis official fares worldwide, this journey would cost:

starting rate € 3,19
kilometer rate 20 x € 2,35= € 47
time rate 20 x € 0,39 = € 7,8
In total per hour (incl. 20 km): € 58.

Your ride includes 20 km of travel per hour booked. Extra distance or time will result in extra charges. For example a ride from Amsterdam to Rotterdam, the hourly service will incur in extra charges at the end of the service. So extra KM charges are accordingly.

Fixed fare

A taxi driver may offer you a fixed fare. He may also charge a surcharge for additional services. For example, carrying your suitcases. You must agree on the fixed price or surcharge before the taxi ride has started.
